i was going for the kind of shot you see in a food magizine.

Watch the placement of your items. Having the fork cut off midway is a distraction.
Also, knowing your exif would play abig part in offering you possible alternate camera settings

i was hopping for just that sort of opinion. i didn't add the specs so as to direct the comments toward compasistion. and your point will be taken to heart. i think next time i'll place the fish on the rice so as to give room for the fork. i know higth is used to accentuate food in the resturants.

Adding your exif is important, not only to offer you alternate suggestions but it is asked for int he guidelines

sorry about slacking on my part. i glassed over the rules (sorry it's a bad habit) as i'm prone to do. i'll rectify that in the imediate future.
