Default Fall leaves

I snapped this picture on a walk about a month or so ago when the leaves were just beautiful! I love the colors, but I'm not sure about the composition, I cropped it quite a bit, so I've kinda looked at it too much if ya know what I mean Any critique on composition (or anything else really!) are welcome!

Hi MKlem,

Fall is a great time to be a photographer. So many opportunities and this is an good image.

I like the position of the purple leaf in the upper-right quadrant and the branches make for interesting lines cutting across the image. Where I think there is some trouble with the image is in the corners. The upper-left has just a bit of leaf hanging in there, the upper-right and lower-left have got branches running across them. A photo teacher of mine once said something like, don't press the shutter until you've checked the corners. I think that is good advice. With this image, I think that you could fix these areas by cropping and cloning, if you want to.

An exposure thing, the flash has made the light-colored branches really stand out. My preference would be to see them a little bit darker so they didn't jump out as much. Again, I think that could be fixed in post.

I like the near purple color of the autumn leave.
Outstanding capture shared by you.

Thanks for the replies! And your definitely right about the corners, my cropping could be a bit better. Thanks for the tip about checking the corners, I will definitely think of that next time I press the shutter!
