Default Chuck Taylors

Hello guys!

I have this photo of two pairs of converse chuck taylors. I tweaked it a bit in Lightroom to give it a darker look and feel. Please tell me what you think. What can I do to make it better and kindly point out the flaws. Thanks!

Camera - Nikon D3000
Lens - 18-55mm f/3.5-5.6G
Exposure - 1/160 sec at f/4.8
Focal Length - 32mm
ISO Speed - 100

Hi sassy_boy,

What a great idea! I like this. The darkness doesn't bother me at all.

I only have two things to say. First, I don't think that the line created by the tile seam adds anything to the photo. If you have good cloning skills, and could make it look natural, I'd try to take out that line. Another very minor thing, is the lower right corner is quite dark. I would try to lighten that up a bit.

Great image!

KG

Hey thanks! I'll do just that. It's the weekend here so I have some time to tinker with photoshop.

I took KansaiGreenie's advice and tried to clone out the line caused by the tile seam and I also lightened the dark area at the bottom right -- by cloning it out too. Here's the updated look.

Yeah definitely. I think it is a stronger image. You did a good job with the cloning. I envy you. I am lousy with the stamp tool. I can never make it look right.

Great job!

I did get lucky with the cloning stamp on this one. Must be because the tile didn't have much patterns to begin with so basically just cloned some white surfaces. Thanks for your input.

Great image and composition! I love it! I think I might slightly darken the white shoes, particularly the right one. Thanks for sharing!

Thanks Eduard. I'll take your feedback into consideration. I've been playing around with Lightroom and I think I know what tool to use for that particular thing.... (darkening the right white shoe that is...).
