This is a great picture; I really like the idea and the effect of the bokeh. It does seem that a few of the foremost needles are a little hot. The artificial needles are more reflective than the natural needles. Maybe try a diffuser to soften the light?
The crop is a little close on the bottom for me; the in-focus light seems crowded by the edge of the picture.
