This is a complete re-working of the original critique posting at Blue Sky Patch
Considering all the comments made previously: I asked myself what did the sky patch add to the picture? A distracting focus point. Do I need it for some reason? Not really. By cropping it out what happens? I lose a bit of the arch but not enough to over ride losing the sky patch. I cropped the picture in a 'formal' square. The square creates tension with the rounded arches. Not sure it that's true but it sure sounds artsie. ![]() Even the colour is closer the the real thing now. ![]() HP PhotoSmart R707 Exposure Time : 1/440.5Sec F Number : F2.8 ISO Speed : 100 Brightness Value : EV6.1
