Default An Experiment From A Beginner

Hi everyone..this is my first attempt of capturing this kind of photo..basically i know what i'm doing with my camera but, Generally, i still can not answer when people ask me, "how do you shoot this photo??" hm..im still learning to remember the setting of my camera before i take a picture. So, this is what i got..picture of a lightning candle..so,hope everyone here can leave a positive/negative comments for my further improvement. oh ya, by the way, i capture this photo with my Olympus E-520.

Well, to be honest, its hard to leave a postive or a negative comment on something like this. This is one of those things that you either like or you dont. Whats important is if you like it.
You also do not have to remember the settings on your camera as your computer will do that for you. You can usually either right click on your photo and look under properties or in your processing software it can usually be found under image information.
I can tell you used a slower shutter speed for this and probably moved your camera around to get the "snakes"

Owh..i think these are the delima for all newbies sometimes we dont know whether the photos that we take are good or bad, value or not but, thanks to your comment..its help me alot..your are very helpful sir/mdm.

yes, all i remember that the camera shutter speed is slower then i freely move my camera
