Default When Lladro meets Murano

This is my first attempt at light painting. Whilst you may have several comments to make, my specific request is how do I make the background entirely black. No shadows, no nothing. The room was pitch black and I had a black card background. Thanks. PAUL

Hi Paul, To get the background completely black, you'll need to use a small led flashlight and try to keep the light of the subjects and off the background as much as possible.

It looks like your settings were way off for this type of attempt.
You need to set the Aperture at around f/22.0 and the Shutter at arount 10 seconds. I use the B setting with a remote shutter release so I could hold the shutter open as long as I wanted, but it's usually around 10 seconds or less. Also try really hard to keep the light off the background. the tighter the beam the better (to a point)
Give it another try
Blessings
Michael.

Thank you so much Michael. That's a great help. Will try again tommorrow, and re-post. God bless for now. PAUL
