Default Static Electricity

How do I get the image of the finger and charge of electricity as clear as the door handle? It was hard to get the timing exact and really hard not pull back my finger because I knew what was coming.

Assuming that the handle and your finger are on the same focal plane, you need a faster shutter speed. The handle is clear because it is not moving. Your finger and the static discharge are. Neat idea.

Default thanks

I think my finger is a little lower than the top of the handle. I didn't notice before. Thanks! Next time I feel the deisre to shock myself a couple dozen times, I'll have to focus on where my finger touches the handle.

I think I'd like to see a bit more light on the finger too. But you need to be carefull, if there is too much light, you will never see the spark.
