Talking Flute/Flower

I took this picture as a present for a fellow flute player! I was wondering if you think the colors look good together and if you like the angle of the flute. Any other comments are welcome

The green sunflower(?) is a bit unexpected and darkens the shot. Flutes are bright, music sheets are white, use a bright flower (a bit late in the season for a really great yellow sunflower) and bring the light up! Good composition, I might play with a few shots with the flute rotated a bit CCW to see what worked

Hm, my monitor shows paper as bluish-gray, with strong purple fringing on the outside... and it's TFT, it should be lighter than that.

Love the composition!
I do have to agree about the entire image being lightened up.
I do wish I had some amazing advice as to why you have the fringe around the edge but you might be able to fix that in post.
