Default Newbie needs contructive critisism

Hi guys, I just got my first camera last week ( Canon EOS 7d with 18 - 135 kit lens ). I got this camera after a lot of reserch, as I wanted to get a camera that would take great photos , but to get the best out of it I would need to learn how to take great photos. These are some of the photos I took yesterday. All shots are Jpeg straight out of the camera just resized.

New Camera.. Cool! After you start feeling comfortable with it I might suggest you take a little time and plan your shots,ie, composition and selective focus, to isolate your main point of interest. Todays digital cameras can take very good images but a good photographer goes beyond letting the camera take the photo. A great photograph is made by the photographer and not just taken by the camera..

All the best, Terry

No offense, but all the info anyone will ever need will be right here, and FREE!

But back to the OP. It looks like you are off to a good start. I like the composition in the B/W of the guy sitting on the fuselage. It reminds me of a movie that I can't quite put my finger on at the moment.

Default Good Start

You are off to a very good start. I have a feeling the new camera is not your first. You seem to have a good eye for composition. I would ditto tday01's comments. Take control of the camera.
