Default Subtracting Saturation

Just yesterday I shot The Werks a local Ohio band that played at the Newport Music Hall in Columbus, OH. I took this image and subtracted all of the colors except for the orange across his face.

What do you think of the overall look? I haven't really messed around with black and white with one color so any input would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks again

-Matt

Shot Details:
Camera: Canon Rebel XTi 400D
f/5.6
Shutter Speed 1/60
ISO 800
Focal Length 106mm

I also know that it is a bit on the grainy side, and one of the only solutions to that would be to better lens for low light i.e. f/2.8.

I like this much better than the cliche item being left in color, like a tie or fruit or something. I can't say I've really ever seen it done like this before...and I like it.

I like it as well. It's definitely not your typical selective color shot. The only thing I find distracting about it is the the color on his hand, and the high contrast between the cymbal and the background pull the eye over there and it's not a smooth motion back to the drummer's face. I think if you got rid of the color there as well, it would balance things out a little better.
