Default piano keys

is the contrast too extreme? any other comments greatly appreciated

Interesting concept..... but i guess there is a slight problem with the composing, you should have included more part of the black keys in the frame, the black keys are too much out of the frame...include those and i am sure it will turn our nicer...

I don't know if decreasing the contrast would help or not. But, the first thing I noticed was that the black keys are almost entirely lost in shadow.

Did you use a flash? If so, I would try bouncing it off the ceiling. If not, I would try shooting from a differently angle to define the black keys a little more or get a little more light on them.

I like the concept.

The flash definitely exentuates the white keys. I think I would adjust the crop and composition of the shot. For instance, possibly adding more of the piano? For instnace, if there is a name of the piano, having that in the upper right corner, out of focus so you could convey more of the story. Is it an old beat up piano, a nice new one, is it a keyboard? All of those things are questions that come to mind. I don't know enough by just seeing the keys. Hope that helps.
