Default Farmers on Strike

Hi, I was away for some time, had some tasks to do... but I'm back...

Farmers strike

Camera: Nikon D60
Exposure: 0.3
Aperture: f/5.3
Focal Length: 35 mm
ISO Speed: 800
Flash: No Flash

I'm interested in your opinion of composition. Also, I'm looking to find out is this an interesting photo, without any background story about what it shows and what not... Please feel free to add any other comments, suggestions and critique. Thanx in advance.

I think the composition could be improved. There is lot of dead space in the foreground, and the top half of the shot is just black. IMO, it may have been more effective if you clearly made the lit green tractor the subject. The visible portion of the red one is distracting. Perhaps if you'd crossed the street and singled out the tractor against the background buildings or even if you put the green tractor (or even the red one) in the forground and then shot down the row of tractors. Were there any farmers around? Without your title, I don't see anything that would've told me anything about farmers being on strike, if that was what you were trying to portray. Good potential there. Keep on shooting.

Exposure is too dark for me - i'd love to see the palm tree on the left and the tops of the buildings. Also the 1/2 a tractor is a bit distracting - like the other guy said.

Definitely get that sense of "huh? whys there tractors in the city street?" - hope thats what you were aiming for?

Looks like a tractor show... Never seen a farmer strike. Too much work to do.

Thanx for the tips, sometimes one can not see obvious things until someone else notices them first.

Farmers are on strike and protesting against new tycoons who are ruining their something... I have no idea... they are sleeping across the street in the tent that's set up in the park... I would take pictures of them, but there's police everywhere and could not get to them. Those tractors are parked across the main street and blocking it so no one can pass... That's not bad idea, but thez forgot its walking zone, so no one is allowed to go in there with the car... and so no one cares if they are blocking it...

The main thing here is that I know now where I made mistakes and will try to do better in future...
Thanx.
