Hi All,
I've set up a makeshift product studio area using natural light and reflectors. This are the best shots of my first shoot. I noticed that I can't seem to get the background white and it goes a little grey - any help for that one? And I'd love any other helpful advice on how to make these better. Here is the link to set on flickr - !st Product Shoot - a set on Flickr Here is one image. ![]() how I set it up: I used an ironing board to sit my background on which was thin white cardboard. I rested the cardboard against a box. (the cardboard is not so thin that it's see through at all). The whole set up was beside the window, using natural light. I used a white foam core board as a reflector on the right hand side. EXIF Data - Canon EOS 1000D Shutter speed - 1/125 sec F-Stop - f.11 ISO - 100 focal length - 46.0mm No flash Metering Mode - pattern Any advice would be greatly appreciated! |

Hi Emma
I have look at your shot on Flickr and have to admit that the silver one is the one i o like. As for the white background, have you try white balance adjustments ?. Personally i possibly try also shoot with shallow depth (maybe f/1.4 or f/2), this would give i sharp parts of the clock in focus and bring some attention to the clock by the viewer. Say, focus on the arms and the Canadian symbol. Other way - good shot
