Default Old is gold

Need some critique on the post processing.
EXIF info:
Shutter speed:1/1600s
AV:f/3.5
ISO:100
focal length:29.3mm
PP:
Changed to b/w.played with the contrast.added some glow.and cropped it

First thing is first. Always check to see that your horizon is straight.
If I remenber right (sorry cant toggle with attachments so i cant review it while typing) it seemed a bit grainy. Not sure why because your iso was quite low.
The image seems to be a lot of greys, not a lot of contrast. Try boosting your contrast levels on a duplicate layer. I say this because doing this is going to make some areas too dark. You can erase or mask out those areas and create more contrast in other areas

I added the grains to give it a old look feel.I currently use Picasa only,not too comfortable with PS or gimp.have to spend more time on these.
Just added more shadow in Picasa.You were right.It looks better this way.
