Default Another sunrise sillhouette

I really liked the shot but then a friend mentioned the focus should have been on the clouds and sun with the old Taiwanese fisher dude out of focus. This has been bothering me off and on for a month, no joke.

Not because I disagree, but because I'm truly not sure if he's right

Also, should it have been cropped in any way? This is something I'm asking myself much more often now after browsing this sites wonderful forums.

*p.s* is it a touch crooked as well? or is it fisher-dude that needs to be straight? this is a new question from watching here, as well as starting to use nx2 which kills crooked easy.

Cheers

I like it, of course I am a bit biased as I am an avid fisherman. Great detail on the fisherman and his rig(Looks like a Sabiki type, used to catch baithfish around here)

If you want to put the focus on the fisherman you should fill the frame with him, that's what i would have done or at least make him the height of the frame.

Was a hand held shot with VR as he was passing..quick snap. Fair comment nicotine. I need to start thinking faster in the moment.

Cheers PhotoPhix, Im also a sport / hungry fisherman. Am currently doing work in Taiwan, so this is the Pacific. A solid weight on the bottom and between three to five hooks going up to the rod with a small rugby bobber does the trick for em. Never see anything come out bigger than my arm though
