Default Rain droplets

rain droplets

I'm new to this forum and am looking for critique from you seasoned photographers. I am a self-taught photographer and hobbyist but seeking to master the art of photography. I know I have a lot to learn and a long way to go, but hope that through this forum and this website I can gain great advice and helpful tips. Today was a rainy day and I was bored so I went outside my backyard and this is what I got! Now, tell me about this photo.

thanks!
Patricia

Welcome to this forum Patricia. There are quite a few droplets of water in your shot, so your title is quite good. In future, if you can get close to one water drop and reduce the clutter of buds, flowers and leaves in your shot, the water drop will fill your frame and photograph will become much better.

Next time, please post the EXIF information and what you want to know about your shot. These will help us to give proper advice.

Cheers,

The colors are beautiful, but i think the shape of all the buds and the droplets are so similar that you really need to focus in closer on one of the water drops.

Subrata,

Thanks so much for that great info! This is exactly the kind of advice, suggestions or tips that I am looking for. I would have never thought of focusing on just one drop by filling the frame. I can't wait for it to rain again to try it out. I was basicially trying to master depth of focus. Here in the info for my photo that I forgot to post earlier - as I mentioned I am new to this or any forum and still have learning to do.

Camera: Canon EOS 50D
Exposure: 0.1 sec (1/10)
Aperture: f/5.6
Focal Length: 132 mm
ISO Speed: 250
