Default The Rotunda-Black and White

Photobucket

I took this picture in one of the buildings where I go to college. It is one of my favorite places to be so I felt that I should photograph it. I think it needs tweaking though. Maybe the biggest change would be from a different perspective and having more contrast. Any thoughts? Oh, I converted the picture to black and white.

I used a Nikon D5000 with the Nikon DX AF-S Nikkor 18-55mm f/3.5-5.6 kit lens.

EXIF:
08/29/09
Exposure: 1/6
Aperture: f/10
ISO: 400
WB: Auto
No flash

Welcome to DPS!!!
You may have missed them, but the guidelines for posting in the critque section are here.
We do ask that you post your exif information. I cant begin to tell you how important it is in critiqeing an image to know what your camera settings were.
If you need help in finding them let me know!

I noticed if you crop off a little from the top so you don't have the dome part in the photo, the stairs don't seem like they stop abruptly. One thing I like about photos similar to this is that they seem to just keep going on. Also, the lightness of the dome, which I guess that's what it is, seems distracting to me and out of place. Really good picture though.
