Default Cruise ship on the horizon

What I would like to know is what people think of the composition and overall aspect of this shot. I'm pretty much up in the air about it so any critique is welcome.

Hi there,
thanks for the message, I really appreciated it. Now as to this image, I have to say if it were mine I would have got the camera as low to the water are possible (not sure how easy that would have been) and still used the cruise ship as my main subject. As it is you have a large about of space just taken up with water and not a lot else going on, does that make sense? I would much rather see more of the ship in detail that the water leading your eye to it. I look forward to seeing more of your work. Keep in touch I am sure we will become good friend...
David.

david's right about the ship......and i'd like to add that moving it a tad lower and a little towards the left would help..just to get it off the side of the frame......the water looks amazing with it's color and detail....but the ship is a little soft....

and by the way, nice first offering to critique....

Thanks for the input. David I see what you mean, like I said i am pretty much in the air about this shot. On the subject of getting closer to the water it would have been difficult as as was on a launch at the time and only looked back in time to see this shot quickly slipping away from me. Thanks for the critiques.
