This is my first post
and i've been in photography for 2-3 months

I'm Trying to get exactly what you helped me with, the overall problems, with the photograph seeing as to where it is i need to improve in the area

Tell us what you were trying to get. Lighting is attractive.
Composition is ok. Background is inappropriate to the subject. Subject is too small in the frame to grab the viewer. Get a book on still life photography.

I think you need to get in closer. Shoot closer and in portrait instead of landscape so that you capture the height of the flowers..
If you want to keep this shot at least crop out the baseboard(bright white) and printers(too distracting)

well i didnt really think about the background because i took it 5 minutes after i woke up and opened the curtains next too my bed i saw the light, got my camera and angled it and snapped a shot
and it was in manual mode
