Default Saturday Morning

When taking this picture I was not really thinking about the composition or any of the other elements that go into taking a photo. It was more just shot and see what happens.

After looking at it for a while and after some pp, there is something that draws me to it.

Technically: [even though it was just point and shoot exercise] what considerations should I have taken when shooting this?

Aesthetically: does it evoke any feelings? If so, what are those feelings?

I am not trying to be mean but technically it is an under exposed out of focus image. Aesthetically it does not do anything for me.

Trader: Thank you for you comment. Definitely nothing mean about your comment.

The whole point of posting [and this forum] is to help with the learn; whether it be from ones successes or failures.

While I understand Trader's comment, I don't quite agree. (he has far more experience on his side, I am not even a padawan. )

The blurry trees and the arrow down the street make me feel like I'm moving. (Out of focus, yes, but still evokes something).

The arrow and the street draw my eye to the framed sky. (Would be nice to see this shot tighter with the buildings/trees framing that sky, without the extra street space maybe).

The sky is a magical colour - is it post processed this way, or natural? It feels like a tornado is about to appear.

The lens glare from the streetlight is neat, but doesn't fit in my mind. I'd like it tighter (again) to remove the street light.

I guess beauty is in the eye of the beholder.

Cheers,
Jeff
