Default Toronto Street Car at Night

Went out to test some long exposure shots on my camera last night. It took a while to get the hang of but it was loads of fun. My idea behind this photo was to have the streaks go in front of the building, but behind the post. Does the post distract from the photo? or does it help to add depth? Also was my exposure too long? I tried shorter but for some reason there was little to no red streak.

Any other comments/critiques always welcome - here to learn

Hi! I like the idea of the street car behind the post. In my opinion, I think it would have been better if the exposure time had been shorter. I would like to be able to tell if the streaks belong to a street car, a car or a bus and I guess the shorter exposure would allow to show its shape.
Just my opinion. Hope it helps.

nice effect, would be cool maybe to have caught the tail end of the vehicle doing its "exit stage left" on teh right . . . if you get my meaning haha

Also I feel a landscape oriantation would help here. You could either reshoot in landscape (if local location?) or just crop, but cropping means a smaller print, and I think you might want to print this one - its good enough! Choice depends on how many Megapixels you have at your disposal, and how big you would wnat to print. I'd be inclined to reshoot.
