Default Life and Death

Is the composition in this photo ok?

I cant ever seem to get the picture sharp enough, and advice on this. I did take it on a tripod.

Aperture: f/10.0
Focal Length: 55 mm
Exposure: 0.00
ISO Speed: 200
Exposure Bias: 0 EV
Flash: No Flash

I think the subject is not interesting enough, my sight keeps looking at the one on the background, one thing i notice is that the white balance is too cold, i feel the square crop does not work here, i'd go with a landscape mode.

Try opening up a little. it will reduce the sharpness of the background and it might remove some Diffraction blurin on the in focus objects. you might also try a little selective sharpening.

I'd try having the focus more towards the top of the photo (ie. flower up higher).

Selective sharpening . . . I'm not that great at PP, but I think Elmo means trying to sharpen up the flower only, not the background, using photoshop or GIMP.

ok, that makes sense. I have no idea how to do it but it makes sense. I will try to get out and take some more today to see if I cant do a bi better.
