Looks good to me, if possible, try to recover some detail on the clouds, and if possible crop out the SUV on the left.

pls dont mind.. but this shot has me a little confused. i dont really know wat i'm looking at or wat i'm supposed to look at.

If u wanted critique on PP, then i'd suggest you post the before n after photo together.

in this photo, maybe you could try for a close crop on the VW to accentuate the reflection of the sky on the window..

that's jus my personal opinion. i'm also a relative newbie in LR 2.2

Hey tobin,

You will enjoy LR. Once you get a grip on thing you will also achieve awsome effects and very pleasing PP results. A word of caution: Watch out for OVER processing. In LR is easy to cross the line and get pictures that just don't look right.
Good luck with that, and ENJOY!
Regarding your picture's composition, I also think it would be better to crop the passing vehicle out and also get rid of some of the asfalt in the bottom. In addition the verticals don't look vertical to me. May be you can staith them up with the rotation element in the crop tool.
I think that you may get nice clouds if you play with the "recovery" slider and push down the highlights a little bit. For the blue skies I strongly recommend you go downt o the Luminiscence pannel and move the blue slide to the left (less luminiscence). That will give a very convincing "polarizer" look.

Good Job and keep them coming.
