Default Does this photo need cropping?

Hi this is a photo my sister seems to like a lot, but before printing it for her...i would like to know if theres anything i can change to make this photo better. One of the things i'm thinking it might need is cropping but i'm not sure how much of it..it needs.
Any advice would be great,

thank you.

This is what I did with it:

I cropped the top and brought up the saturation a bit. I wanted to bring out the green in the leaves but when I did a color adjustment on the green channel it just added too much green to the rest of the image,

well, it depends on the size frame she has...that might help you deciding the best crop. In her minds eye, she may already know where she want to display it and that determines the crop ratio...IMO

Thank you both for your opinions.
I really like how much of the photo youve cropped trader...i'd see if that crop works for 8x10. Also i'm wondering did you add a glow to the window it seems to have blurred the background out nicely. Thank you.

Was the handle of the tea pot cropped? Is it part of your subject? there is too much light coming from the window, its brightness is distracting.

I did do a color adjustment to bring out that wood in the center.

I would bring this image into Photoshop and the add a new document that is 8x10, go back to the original image and bring that layer into the new document and play around with the move tool and see how it fits best. You can Ctrl-T and make the original larger and/or smaller to see how that fits also. That's what I do to size an image to fit a specific print size.

i think the top needs to be cropped a lil bit, but depending on your situation, you may not want to crop it.
