Default An Eye on the Book

Hi,
Here in this photo,I have placed my camera under the opened flap of a magazine and kept some books on the far end. The concept is the clean focus on the titles of the books through a narrow tunnel and the eye shaped frame within the photo formed by the opened flap of the magazine.

Very good concept, and you executed it well. I think the reflection adds a bit of interest, too.

Much of what I'd say about this depends on who your audience is for this photo. If your primary concern is the eye-shape, then I'd probably

1) zoom a bit further in -- Most people don't think of their eyes as tunnels that end in an eye shape.

2) try to get rid of the glare on the magazine cover by blocking that light from directly entering the hole. The two different areas of lighting on the inside of the cover is distracting from the intention of the shot.

3) Put a background outside of your depth of field behind the books -- Background blur very strongly indicates focus, which would enhance the concept that you're looking through an eye.

Great concept. Good job looking for an interesting position to shoot from.
