Nice shot.. but I am little confused about what you wanted to depict in this shot.. I mean is it the flower that you wanted to focus on.. the branch with multiple flowers.. the greenery.. there's too much in this picture for me to look at.. probably a little crop might help..

First of all welcome to DPS.
Ilike the photograph for the depth of feild you've got init, perhaps you shoud've zoomed in a little more if you could or moved in a little closer. crop should really help. And as long as you like your photos don't worry about what others say ;-)

Welcome to DPS,all sorts of nice people, and advice a'plenty!!
I liked your picture. As you say it was the light shining through, and you got the DOF right with the fluffy (dandelion seeds???) nicely in focus with the pinkish tinge. Let's see more. Douglas

I like the way the light shines through and the colors. You might try a closer shot, you might like it better...or not. DOF is good. Welcome. I learn something everytime I come here

I think that it is fine but like the others have said, it would be that much better if what is in focus was filling the frame. You have some nice light hitting those "spikes" and that could be appreciated more if you crop it tight around that cluster so you can actually see that light. Give that a try and re-post here
