Please let me know what you think and how you think I could improve this image:

Camogli - Detail

I took it handheld with my little Coolpix point and shoot camera. The following is my EXIF data:

Shutter speed: 1/250
f/stop 5.6
ISO 64

No post processing!

Thanks!

Welcome to DPS! I think you have a great photo! The one thing that stands out to me is that the tunnel is to dark. I would try to lighten it up just a bit.

Hi, I agree with Castman about the tunnel. If that doesn't work out the way you want it to you could try playing with the brightness and contrast take the photo to each extreme, give it an artsy look.

In Photoshop:

Image>Adjustments>Shadow/highlight at default setting; then I applied it again. Ken

Hi, great idea for that shot and "Liguria" is great for such kind of shots because of houses bright colours!

I agree with those who say the tunnel is too dark and you should do post processing. Anyway, I prefer giving you my opinion about how i would have taken it - or I suppose i would: it seems like you were standing, maybe going down on your knees would have given you a better perspective.. I 'd also get some steps ahead to crop away a little more of the tunnel - and dark with it

this is my opinion, sure, as you know there's not a correct way of shooting that, just many options.. hope you'll find this helpful!

Default Thanks everyone!

thanks for all your advice and critique.

I will most definitely try and lighten up the shot.

BTW I was crouching when i took this...the "window" was pretty low down

Again everyone thanks!
