I take several candid photos for my running group. I would like to improve my overall photography skills. I personally think this photo is a photo that I am proud to show off, and if you can share any pointers on this photo (or any other photo).

Question: How can I improve the photo? Do I need to line up the object of the picture in a different place? What should I have done differently in this situation?

Personally, I like the composition. Having him off to the right gives the viewer a glimpse at what is ahead of him. I like that.

If you want a true silhouette, try darkening the him and the landscape in some post-processing, and, at the same time, play with the sky to bring out the color a little more. Just don't overdo it. Haha.

The foreground, hiker and the mountain in the rear are all quite noisy. Can you post your EXIF datat so we can see what you shot this at? Composition is very nice however.

I guess that's why photo is a bit noisy - my iphone took that photo (the batteries in my other camera died by that point).
