I have snap this little fellow in local forest with my new Zeiss lens and would appreciate any critique.
I have to admit that being a prime lens with manual focus is some of the challenge, but i hope that in time i may master use of this nice looking lens. ![]() Camera: Nikon D3 Lens: Zeiss Distagon T* 35 mm f/2 Date: 3-06-2009 Exposure: 1/100 sec at f/1.4 Focal length 85 mm ISO: 200 No flash The funny thing is that after setting my camera on manual and selecting f/2 on the lens, camera recorded this as f/1.4 ? If any one can possibly explain this i would appreciate. Wombat

Very nice work !
Colors are vivid and I like the hints of purple in the background. Looks like something from a fairy tale Not sure about the recorded aperture being different. Hopefully someone else more knowledgeable on the subject can help.
