Post Taxi

Hi,

I've just started photography and this is my first contribution to DPS. I'm a new member at DPS and was fascinated by the article on "panning" so thought of trying it out myself.

Taxi

EXIF info :

Camera : Canon Powershot SX10 IS
shutter speed : 1/30
aperture : f/8
ISO : ISO 80.

This is all the info I could find when i uploaded the pic to my computer.

I had three specific questions with this shot.

1. the taxi seems a little out of focus. Is there some technique/tip in panning to get subject more in focus or is it just a matter of practice?
2. The background has almost a spherical feel to it. Any idea how i can get a more flattened look?
3. How best to remove the other taxi from pic in PS? And is it required?

I would be grateful for any other suggestions as i'm still a newbie to photography.

Harsh

Nice panning.

personally i would crop little from top and bottom, this would make a nice semi panorama shot.

Thanks Wombat. I will crop and put the result for further critique soon.

Can you also tell me to to get a smoother blur of the background?
