Default Daisy

We got some new flowers today, and I saw some potential for some good pictures. So, I got my camera and started shooting. Here is one of the shots:

Exposure: 1/25
Aperture: f/8.0
Focal Length: 47mm
ISO Speed: 100
Exposure Bias: +1/3 EV
Exposure Program: Aperture-priority AE
Flash: Off

I am very happy with how it came out overall. However, I do have a question for you all here at DPS. Is the background, particularly on the right-hand side, too distracting even though it is blurred?

Constructive criticism is more than welcomed! Thanks in advance!

I like your photo a lot natek313, I like the sharpness and the vibrant colors. I would try a square crop as I don't think the negative space on the right hand side does anything for the photo. Had the angle been different some negative space to the right might have helped but it not the case here. Keep up the good work!

Thanks for the comment and suggestion. The thought crossed my mind yesterday when I was looking at it on my computer. I think I'll give it a shot.

Thanks!

Here is the photo with a square crop. What do you think?

If you intend to use image for possible stock use, I would leave the negative space for copy(text) as shown here:
