Nicely captured color. We need your EXIF data however.

Meantime, you might want to look up the "Rule of Thirds." The flower is right smack dab in the center of the photo. You could crop to make this more interesting. Also you might have gotten closer to the flower to create a more interesting image. I use to have a photo editor who always told me "when you think you're close enough, get closer." This is a good start for you (I mean the photo, not my critique). So keep at it. And look here at DPS to see what other people do. It will help you tremendously.

The flower is sharp and with great colors and you have a nice DOF here. However, I agree with RustySterling. Your subject is at the dead center. Thank you for sharing, BTW. Post more photos.
