Default something might be here

So this past Sunday, I went downtown Toronto, for the Pride Parade. I took this shot, and thought that there is something there, but I cannot tell if there is anything that I can do to save this shot. I guess I am looking for feedback on composition/framing.

The crop seems a little awkward and the bright red sign in the background draws the eye. Did you process the color cast in or is that an accident?

I agree the crop seems a little tight. The man on the left seems up against the side of the shot and despite the fact that the 2 on horseback are looking at him, he is secondary to the bright sign.

Thank you... I might try to blur the background, and try and remove the competing sign behind the on foot officer.
I don't know what to do about the tight crop. I played around with just the officers on horses, and that seemed awkward as they did seemed to be looking at something that was not in the shot.
I think this is one of those shots that might be chalked up to gaining fmore experience.
