The Wandering Pig

I took this shot in Bath today (for some reason they've dotted brightly-coloured pigs everywhere), and while I really like the idea of it, the lighting wasn't right and the pig's back looks washed out. If anyone has any ideas, or any critique of the shot otherwise, that would be great.

i like how the pig seems to be facing down that traffic....like a cop....


you're right about the lighting.......it appears to be shot during middady....a time of high contrasts in landscapes.....if you could wait until later in the day......or even much earlier in the morning, the light would have been softer, warmer, and more evenly distributed....and your camera would have an easier time of exposing correctly.....

Thanks for that - it was actually quite late afternoon at the time, which I thought would be alright, but obviously I need to readjust myself around midsummer...
