bellesmiles, Welcome

Here's a link describing some things that help you post an image so that we can give it a fair Critique. Mainly EXIF is needed, the camera and its settings, conditions when you took this shot (we might not have thought "rain:" this could be a lawn sprinkler!). You see how adding information helps us understand what went into your decision to take the shot.

The "down low" angle is good for this type of shot, and you might experiment with shutter speed to stop all movement, making the drops and splashes sharp. It's good that you had a subject, the leaf, to focus attention on. That adds interest and gives a sense of scale and distance. Nice work

hello Jiminy Clickit,
Sorry i forgot to add the details maybe I was so excited to post my first pic in DPS. Anyway, I have already added the details on my post. For the conditions, i took this during a heavy rain and I was having a hard time capturing sharp images of the rain drops. I'll try again next time and will try to experiment on the shutter speed and will post the it at the before and after section. Thanks a lot for that helpful critique and complement on the leaf

I like the slow shutter speed. I adds an ethereal quality to the shot. The title does lead one to expect "frozen" raindrops. It might not have been what you were trying to get, but some times things work out well on their own.

bellesmiles,

You will improve with time and practice, both the posting and the photography, and we will try to help in both areas in whatever way we can. The image has a good "feel" to it, which I usually consider as important as all the technical stuff. Keep that "eye" as you learn the knob-turning parts. And always enjoy what you can while you can.
