Default A Flower (Iris??)

Here is a shot of a flower that bloomed today... I think this one came out really well

Not sure if this is considered macro or not (not really sure what macro is... ) So I put it in the "Other" Section. Please move to another spot if necessary.

I cropped the pic a bit and tweeked the levels just a tad..

I guess I'd like feed back on composition, and lighting maybe...

Please feel free to add any other comments or feed back you feel necessary...

Simple composition, good vignette, I like it!
The purple flower stands out from the green background because of the contrasting colors. Good job.

I guess the only thing that I'll complain about is how the lower leaf is so dark and the upper one is so bright. I know the flower was like that, but you lost a bit of detail from that. Perhaps you could darken and brighten them a little.

Click here to find out what macro means. I'll give you a simple definition first:

It's taking pictures of small things. You should fill the entire frame with your subject.

Sorry if my definition is bad.

Anyways, thanks for sharing!

I'd like to know how to do those things much less what I should do... Adobe photo shop is very intimidating to me... I'll have to look for an on-line tutorial on what ever you suggest to try...

Thanks again...

I think that you should go nearer to the barbs until it is jsut a few inches from the camera. That way, it can definately be considered as a macro shot.
