Tried the candle stick option as fresh out of oil lamps at the mo
![]() I have attempted to improve the focus and detail by using a longer exposure, lower ISO, smaller aperture and better stability by tethering to laptop. Do you guys think this is an improvement over the original? Thanks to all for your help - it is so good to know other viewpoints. I have not posted the last version here due to rules but have decided to post it to the weekly assignment "Monochrome". Wish me luck... LOL!

In this second image, all I can think about is the wax dripping all over the book shelf. I'd hold the candle straight and use a longer exposure to see what the candle is lighting.
