I would put your name, profession and phone number on the front, and any other contact info on the rear. There is always some way to overlay or use a squeeze mode for this info on the front and it tells people right up front, who you are and why they are holding your card.

I would get rid of the bottom two lines, they are unnecessary. If people are interested in you and have the internet then they'll go to your website - I presume you have contact information on your website. Why do you need a separate listing for email and what's with facebook if you have a "proper" website?
I would just have the first two lines up the top, then move the website name down to the bottom with your phone number. JMHO.

1) Don't use so much information in all-caps. It's hard to read.
2) Don't use wide kerning to make everything the same width. The extra space makes the text hard to read. 3) I'd really recommend not laying text over the photo on the other side unless the photo was taken with the intent of adding text.

thanks for the opinions, guys.
i guess i'll cut it down to phone # and website. i find more people contact me through Facebook though, that's the only reason i would really want it on there. i know i'm definitely not putting any information on the front of the card, aside from MAYBE my watermark. I only had one-sided cards last time and it was very difficult to not cover up an important part of the images. this is my watermark (it looks right in the thumbnail, but when enlarged on this site it loses it's transparency) |

Have you considered a QR Code? they're increasingly popular.
You could layer it over your watermark, place it in the centre, vice versa, change the colour, etc. There are heaps of options, here's a few creative ones. 15 Creative QR Codes [PICS] If you own a smart phone test it on the image I posted ..it's all yours ..keep it Last edited by Vincent_G; 01-11-2012 at 09:42 AM. |

thanks for all the advice and suggestions guys!
i'm not sure how i feel about the QR codes yet, personally, i've yet to scan one, and i'm very tech-savvy. my smartphone is pretty much in my hand all the time. i just find going to the QR scanner app, then scanning the code, then clicking on the link to be more work than just typing in the website in your browser. that's just me, though. as they gain popularity i may change my mind, i just feel they're kind of unnecessary at this point. anyways, i've taken your suggestions and tips into consideration and made some alternative designs. i don't know why, but i really like the font and "spread" look of the justified text on my first design. it feels newspaper-y to me. however, the font itself is all capital letters, and if those themselves are distracting or hard to read, it's probably not the best choice. so now i have 5 designs, lol. WHICH ONE? also if you have any suggestions on fonts, i would love that. there are just SO cussin' many that i never know what to choose. of course, these need to be submitted tonight. FML. |

I would go with the first card with a slight modification.
I would drop the Katia Grondin Photography to the bottom either above or below your FB link. Hope this helps. Perry |
