This was a good attempt. Do you know what your camera settings were when you shot it? Any feedback you get would be better if the repliers had this information.
Based on the what I see in the photo, it looks like it was underexposed. The moon is a brightly lit object and even though everything around you is dark you have to remember that your subject is not. You will get a better image by stopping down as if you were shooting in daylight. This photo feels kind of soft and orangey, which is usually a side effect of too little light. My first few attempts at taking moon photos were awful and I was totally frustrated until I ran across this same advice on a forum. Keep at it. |

Try cropping it a bit, is a very small pic of the moon, doesnt show much detail at all, mostly just black sky. Sometimes negative space works, in this case, I dont think it did (I may be differnt to others though) Keep wroking at it :-)
