I came across these leaves during my hiking trip on Sunday. Lighting was low in the jungle.

I would choose an angle to use the spiky leaves as a background across the whole image and also arrange the leaves of the foreground plant so that none of them are obscured by the spiky plant (see that tip pointing towards the bottom left? No, you don't because the spiky plant is in the way). I would probably also try pulling closer to get more detail on the main set of leaves and use it to fill more of the frame.

I went back there to reshoot this pic. There are no other leaves behind the smooth leaves (my subject). I don't have much room to move around as the leaves are under a tree trunk.
I tried shooting them from a few angles and they still look the same. The only angles I could shoot are high and low.
