I'm not sure if this belongs in Landscape or here, so I'll put it here. This is another of the pictures that I took last night. This one is the Saginaw and the Renaissance Center in Detroit.
The Fun Stuff Model Canon EOS 50D ISO 400 Exposure 1/500 sec Aperture 7.1 Focal Length 170mm This is another one that I actually like but in the efforts in improving this, I'll put it here. What I like about it: The colors, I took it near sunset so I have the oranges and stuff from that. What I don't like: The picture seems unbalance. Do I want the ship or the building? Basically, I'm looking for some advice on the composition. Thanks. |

I agree. Either the ship or the building. If you go with the building I suggest a portrait crop and tone down the bright reflection on the top floors. Or a tight crop on the ship. Give both a try and see which one you prefer.

In the future with a similar shot why not try a more open apeture to narrow the DOF to blur the building more.
