Christmas Photo

Hey guys, I need your opinion on my photo... I want to enter on local photo contest, and the theme for this contest is about Christmas, so I took a photo and I added the snow effect and added Cross Process effect in the Photoshop.. So what do you think:

So, it was took with Olympus E-520, with ZD 40-150 f3.5-4.5,

f4.5
ISO 400
Exposure time: 1/400
Exposure bias 0
No flash
Aperture Priority

I took this photo because I want to enter on one competition that was created by Olympus in my country... There will be a lots of good photos and also a bad ones...
So... I shoot this one with the subject glued to the glass deer, on the left side there was plastic christmas tree and the background was some tree... I added the snow with the brush in the Photoshop, and then did the finish with the Cross Processing effect...

I want to know is this photo interesting enough, has something that will make the viewer stare at it and make him feel good...
Do I need to change something, or is it good as is?

I find the added snow effect too distracting. Maybe cut down on the amount.
