F-stop : f/5 Exposure time : 1/2 sec ISO : 200 Focal length : 44mm Exposure Bias : 0 Flash : off I am a first quarter photography student with no prior photography experience. I took this photograph during my very first attempt to do photography at night. Please give feedback as to what is working well in this image, as well as any perceived areas of improvement. ie - exposure, composition, contrast, focus, etc. |

It's nice! I'd be tempted to crop the right side so that as much of the dreaded foreground tree as possible was removed. Then dodge the brightly lit branch at bottom right. I read somewhere that a square composition is particularly good for fairly abstract images. Also, just a feeling as I was looking at it, you may disagree, it needs a teeny-weeny rotation to make the uprights square in the frame. Good luck with your course!
