Don't flip it. There is not enough of a mirror image to do so. If you flip it, everything not in the reflection will be upside down and will not look right.
To get it better, I think your friend should have been out in the street on the edge of the puddel and then do a crop with compost, with him and the buildings that are reflected sticking out of the frame. |

Very nice capture, Try taking the puddle, leaving it (the reflection) in color. I think it would make for an interesting picture.
