Sunset/sunrise pictures are often a choice between totally turning the foreground to a black silhouette, or having the sky be too light to truly capture the brilliant colors. Also, taking a picture minutes or even seconds before/after will result in drastically different-looking shots.
What I like about your picture is that it looks serene and peaceful. In my personal opinion, it looks like you may have been a tad late for the more colorful time of the sunset. Doesn't mean it's a bad picture, but I'd encourage you to experiment with pictures at different times during sunset. It's quite an experience! Also, I think you may need to clean your lens? If you can see light colored circles, there are a couple of them in your picture, most visible in the sky area. For landscape type pictures, a narrow aperture (f/8, f/11) will help keep things sharp-- so a tripod will help, or even simply stabilizing your camera on an immovable object. 1/15 sec is a bit slow to handhold, and will likely give you soft edges on your picture. Try to get around 1/60 sec or so. Sunsets are fun though! keep shooting
