Default really long hallway

I took this picture while staying at some guest house. I want to know if the compostion is OK, is the picture over exposed? could it have been better? Any other thing I should consider if I were to take this shot again. What I can do to it, post production.

DSC_0008

Camera: Nikon D3100
Lens: Nikon 18-55mm (kit lens)
Exposure program: Aperture priority
f-stop f/3.5
ISO Speed: 100
Exposure time: 1/25 secs
Exposure bias: 0 step
focal length: 18mm

Thanks

Cool shot. If I had to point anything out, I personally would have made the contrast a tad stronger. But for a higher key black and white it works. I can see using that location to do a twisted photoshoot with a model in a straight jacket

No other comments? I take it the picture is really good (or too awful for word).

Please help me improve.

The picture is good, and the exposure is fine. To me the composition is slightly off.

The wall plate immediate rt is distracting, and the fire extinguisher is obtrusive. I think had you centered the hallway for more symmetry it would have eliminated the wall switch and reduced the impact of the fire extinguisher and just "work" a bit better.
