Early morning saviour!

Dear fellow photographers.

I am kindly asking you for feedback and improvement possibilities for the below photo. I am worried that in my wish to create a nice DoF I have made the handle of the coffee machine too prominent.

Any other feedback is much appreciated also, especially in terms of technique when making this kind of shots! Would you use flash/diffused flash?

If you wanted the coffee cup to be the focus, you did it. When I looked at the photo, first thing I saw was the writing on the cup. Anytime words are included in a photo, they tend to be the first thing to draw my eye. That being said, if you can crop the top of the coffee machine off a bit more, that might add more interest to the photo. Love the B&W conversion! Makes me wish I had a nice hot cup of coffee right now....
