Overall I think it is a nice photo with great compisition, with good foreground interest, nice body language in the middle and intimacy between friends.

Maybe there is a little too much empty sky. Have you tried a square crop? If you cropped square you would have the boat on one line of thirds and the girls on the second line of thirds which would look very natural to the eye.

I like the fact that it is very bright!
