Default autumn fir cones

fircones by mistersteeb, on Flickr

I would like your opinion on this picture.
1st: Do the cones lead your eye in to the image?
2nd: Does the composition work well?
3rd: Do the colours look fake? (no photoshop work done on the image)
Any feedback positive or negative would be welcomed.
Thanks

Is it 2012 already??? Or are you from the future?

The photo is underexposed and needs WB adjustment in post processing. It's just too dark. There's some lovely green parts on the cone that I think can provide some nice colour balance on this overall orange toned photo. Overall, it needs to be cooled down a little.

I really can't tell if it's focused well - the darkness makes it hard for me to see it. But it seems to be ok and good use of shallow depth of field. At f/10, I don't know how you managed to get such a shallow depth of field although never mind....I just saw your focal length.

I think this is composed well. With just a little bit more tweaking, it can be heaps better and with a little more pop.

Well done overall!

Shallow DoF not sure how i managed it but maybe something to do with the telephoto lens at max and the subject not too far away.
